Research into Trading the Financial Markets
The research activities of Traders-Institute are squarely focused on analyzing the political environment when making trading decisions in the financial markets. What differentiates Traders-Institute is the practical approach undertaken in our research activities. In short, our mission is to convey the geopolitical along with the behavioral and social aspects of trading in financial markets to practitioners in the field.
Our goal is to create a forum where the latest knowledge and practice regarding the geopolitical, behavioral and social aspects of trading can be discussed. It is often said that politics comes before economics, but this point of view is often neglected or minimized in academic studies of the financial markets. In short, Traders Institute aims to address the role of politics in trading.
The Traders Institute Forum
To accomplish our mission, Traders Institute aims to provide a forum for practically - oriented research on trading which emphasizes politics. Our activities would be of special interest to the investment community, specifically alternative investment and asset management professionals. The following sample research topics would be indicative of our general aims:
- How are political, behavioral and social factors incorporated into trading decisions?
- What are the politics behind financial crises?
- How effective are hedge funds in dealing with political risk when making trading decisions?
